What kind of tours do you offer?
We offer a variety of destination packages for you to experience what New York has to offer. From Dock and Dine packages, fishing charters, Manhattan Skyline, and Lady Liberty tours, lighthouse tours, to vacation excursions, company outing packages, and Gay Charters, we will take you on a memorable trip around New York. You can also plan your own custom excursions or purchase Seasonal Pricing Packages!
Can we rent your boat?
Monty’s Ark Adventures is a charter service only. I do not rent out the boat. Monty’s Ark has a maximum capacity of six passengers
How many passengers can you accommodate?
Monty’s Ark has a maximum capacity of 6 passengers.

Note: there Is a $400 surcharge for pick-ups in Queens and Manhattan
Other locations may be arranged and may be subject to a surcharge
How long does it take for each tour?
Tours can range from four to eight hours depending on type and destination. Private charters of varying duration can be booked as well. There are no overnight charters.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Monty’s Ark Adventures accepts credit and debit cards, cash, Venmo, and Zelle.
What days are Monty's Ark Adventures open?
Monty’s Ark Adventures is open, Wednesday through Sunday. Specialty charters can be arranged on other days with 7 day advance notice.
Do your trips to the Statute of Liberty drop passengers off on Liberty Island?
No, private charters are not licensed to drop passengers off on Liberty
Island. There is only one provider authorized by the National Park Service
to do so.
Do you provide meals on board?
We provide a variety of snacks and soft drinks on board. While we do not
provide formal meals, you are welcome to bring your own meals.
Do you serve alcohol?
No, we do not have a liquor license and do not provide alcohol on board.
You can, however, bring your own.
Do you provide refrigeration?
Yes, we provide a cooler with ice and a refrigerator on board. Please
confirm available space needed if you plan to bring a large amount of food
or specialty items, e.g., ice cream cakes.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of your charter?
If the captain deems it unsafe to proceed with your charter due to weather
the charter will be cancelled. You will be able to reschedule or obtain a
refund in accordance with our cancellation policy.
What happens if you cannot make your charter?
You will be able to reschedule or cancel your charter in accordance with
our cancellation policy.
Are children included in the maximum passenger limit (six passengers)?
Yes all children, regardless of age, are included in the maximum
passenger limit.
Do you provide life jackets for children?
Yes we provide life jackets for children under 90 lbs. You must provide a
USCG approved type 1 life jacket for infants and toddlers.
Can you accommodate kosher meals?
We provide new plastic utensils and paper plates to meet kosher needs.
We do not have kosher food preparation or cooking capabilities.
Can we BBQ?
Yes, with advance notice you can BBQ on the boat. Arrangements should
be made at the time your book your charter.
Can we swim from the boat?
Swimming from the boat is allowed if the proper waivers and charter
contract have been signed in advance.
What can I expect on my charter?
When you arrive at the pick-up location, Capt. Steve will meet you and
assist you boarding Monty’s Ark. He will provide a brief safety briefing which all passengers must attend. He will then provide an overview of the
planned charter. Final payment, if any, will be collected prior to departure.
Is parking included with my charter?
No, parking fees, if any, are not included in your charter. Customers must
find suitable parking at or near the pick-up and drop-off location. Monty’s
Ark Adventures is not responsible for parking violations.
Can I be dropped off at a different location from my pick-up?
With notice provided and accepted at the time of booking by Monty’s Ark
Adventures, accommodation can be made to drop off at a different
location.
Is Monty’s Ark Adventures handicapped accessible?
Monty’s Ark Adventures is technically not handicapped accessible.
However, accommodation has been made for passengers in a wheelchair
or passengers just needing some assistance in boarding. Please speak
with us in advance of your charter so we can meet your needs.
